At The Napa Valley Reserve, our mission from the outset was to create unforgettable experiences around wine that also manage to extend well beyond Viticulture. As we embark on our 14th year, it’s evident that our mission continues to evolve—and that’s mostly due to our diversely accomplished Members. Each year, Members lend their expertise to further an idea, a discussion and experiences that shed light on topics in a way that no other wine club can.
Since joining in 2014, the Isaacs simply started by getting their wine allocation. But their curiosity soon led them to get more involved. Not too long after joining, they took the leap into blending their own wine and creating their own label. Brian says, “The label is more of a commitment, and we didn’t want to rush into it. Wine is a generational thing, so we spent some time thinking of what our label would be.”
One of the great benefits of The Reserve is that we can tap into a wealth of resources—notably our Members—to help us investigate intellectual pursuits that run the spectrum of science, health, and technology. This September evening was a case in point. This time, the topic was Alzheimer’s Disease—specifically, we discussed the causes of the growing disease that’s expected to climb from 5.4 million cases in 2016 to 13.8 million in 2050.
Needless to say, it was an honor and a pleasure to host Château Margaux—one of the most iconic French chateaux in Bordeaux—at The Reserve this past October 22.

Great cars, fine wine and like-minded automotive enthusiasts will come together once again at The Napa Valley Reserve. Please save the date for our 13th annual Legends of Motorsport event on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
This year we are honoring four-time IndyCar Series Champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 Winner Dario Franchitti. He is one of only five drivers to win the Indianapolis 500 and the series title in the same season more than once. Franchitti is currently seventh on the all-time wins list with 31 victories. With 90 podium finishes, he passes Al Unser Jr. and Bobby Rahal for fourth on the all-time list. By winning the 2012 Indianapolis 500, he became the 10th driver in history to win the race three times. In March of 2017 Franchitti was elected to the Auto Racing Hall of Fame at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
We look forward to Members and special guests joining us for a casual rally and scenic drive through Napa Valley. Attendees are highly encouraged to drive their exotic and classic cars. Following the rally there will be a memorable reception and dinner followed by fireside chat with honoree Dario Franchitti. We hope you will join us for this special occasion!
