At The Napa Valley Reserve, our mission from the outset was to create unforgettable experiences around wine that also manage to extend well beyond Viticulture. As we embark on our 14th year, it’s evident that our mission continues to evolve—and that’s mostly due to our diversely accomplished Members. Each year, Members lend their expertise to further an idea, a discussion and experiences that shed light on topics in a way that no other wine club can.
Since joining in 2014, the Isaacs simply started by getting their wine allocation. But their curiosity soon led them to get more involved. Not too long after joining, they took the leap into blending their own wine and creating their own label. Brian says, “The label is more of a commitment, and we didn’t want to rush into it. Wine is a generational thing, so we spent some time thinking of what our label would be.”
One of the great benefits of The Reserve is that we can tap into a wealth of resources—notably our Members—to help us investigate intellectual pursuits that run the spectrum of science, health, and technology. This September evening was a case in point. This time, the topic was Alzheimer’s Disease—specifically, we discussed the causes of the growing disease that’s expected to climb from 5.4 million cases in 2016 to 13.8 million in 2050.
Needless to say, it was an honor and a pleasure to host Château Margaux—one of the most iconic French chateaux in Bordeaux—at The Reserve this past October 22.
In support of Auction Napa Valley and its charitable efforts, Members and their guests attending the auction are cordially invited to a complimentary wine reception at The Napa Valley Reserve. Please join us as we kick off this year's festivities with a toast before heading to the Live Auction Celebration!

We welcome you to join us for an evening with Château Palmer and CEO Thomas Duroux. Since 1938, Château Palmer has distinguished itself as one of Bordeaux’s leading grand crus.
Duroux was 34 when he took over from Bertrand Bouteiller as CEO of Château Palmer in 2004. A professional agronomist and oenologist, he brought with him 10 years of experience in the making of great wines around the world: in Bordeaux, Hungary, South Africa, California and Tuscany. Back in his native region, he could concretize a new vision for the grands crus of Bordeaux.
A master of equilibrium, always seeking greater depth, elegance and refinement for Château Palmer wines, Duroux brings to his task not only impeccable taste, experience and respect for an unequalled tradition but also youth, a spirit of independence and a talent for invention and innovation.
