At The Napa Valley Reserve, our mission from the outset was to create unforgettable experiences around wine that also manage to extend well beyond Viticulture. As we embark on our 14th year, it’s evident that our mission continues to evolve—and that’s mostly due to our diversely accomplished Members. Each year, Members lend their expertise to further an idea, a discussion and experiences that shed light on topics in a way that no other wine club can.
Celebrating a Sense of Place
Last year was no different. Member Pascal Levensohn assembled a panel of Alzheimer’s Disease scientists and physicians for an informative night that explored the frontier of this disease and yet somehow ended up also feeling like an intimate dinner party where you got to dine with world-class doctors and discuss the intricacies of the latest Alzheimer’s Disease research over magnums of wine.
We also came together for wine tastings—hosting Chateau Margaux in October—as well as for the always-memorable Harvest Weekend that seems to get better each year. This year boasted the largest Harvest Weekend Gala to date, with families traveling from near and far to attend and participate. A mesmerizing performance from Lola Lennox, the daughter of Annie Lennox capped off an unforgettable evening that commemorated another Harvest.
Finally, the Legends of Motorsports Weekend treated car enthusiasts to a stunning fall drive around the Valley, a plethora of industry leaders in attendance, and a Q&A with Jeff Gordon, four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, three-time Daytona 500 winner and five-time Brickyard 400 winner, who shared his intimate experiences with Meadowood, Bill and Deborah Harlan, and The Napa Valley Reserve.
Over the past several months, we gathered for many events in Napa Valley and around the globe that showcased the range of our Members and the breadth of The Reserve. No, this isn’t your usual wine club. Whether or not you’ve attended every event, we invite you to re-live it in these upcoming pages with stories and beautiful photos aimed to bring the events to life. We look forward to seeing you at the Hospitality Barn soon!
